I have recently participated to the 4 days course about TOGAF and if you are like me, in search for more information about it in order to complete the certification, I hope you will find this page useful, as it contains the various links that might help you learning.

Just a quick introduction, what is TOGAF (for those who are not familiar with the term):

The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) is a framework for enterprise architecture that provides an approach for designing, planning, implementing, and governing an enterprise information technology architecture. TOGAF is a high level approach to design.

So, TOGAF is not really about Solution Architecture, but a higher level that deals with the Enterprise Architecture. This comprehends many aspects of handling the architecture so that the delivery is successful.
One of the central aspect is about the Architecture Development Method which defines the various phases in an Enterprise Architecture Project.

Official Information

For sure one of the most important pieces of information is the specification itself that is freely accessible from The Open Group web site. The PDF version is not free unless you become a member.

There is also a possibility to purchase the physical book. Most probably you don’t need to spend the money as the above online version contains exactly the same information.

The Open group also has a lot of additional resources available directly on the official web site.

Other resources

Google is our friend in this case. To search for available items it’s quite enough to search for the TOGAF keyword directly

What I found quite useful are the following web sites which are summarizing the basics that are very easy to be forgotten. Here is the excellent summary taken from the Udayan Banerjee blog.

Post 1: What is TOGAF – without jargon
Post 2: Planning a project – the TOGAF way
Post 3: Defining Requirement – the TOGAF way
Post 4: Architecture Governance – In TOGAF what does it mean

There are also some free information available from the GoodLearning website.
